Morning Shift

Erik had an idea.

A questionable idea.

He put honey on his hand and held it next to the hive entrance, figuring the bees might be interested.

They were busy coming and going, carrying pollen and getting on with the business of being bees.

A few did stop to investigate Erik's hand—and naturally, Erik interpreted that as friendship.

Meanwhile, the morning shift was already underway.
